Summer is coming, and with it the 2010 edition of SÓNAR, the Advanced Music and Multimedia Art International Festival of Barcelona, which will be held in various venues, with day-time and night-time activities.

The Sónar Music and Digital festival, from the 18th to the 20th of June, in Barcelona, is a meeting point for people craving for novelties, and for professionals, that find the festival the ideal place to show their products and make new contacts.

SonarPro is the section of Sónar thought to be the meeting point for professionals of the Music industry, audiovisual technologies and new media. This year, SonarPro in Barcelona opens to new sectors of activity, with different formats and exhibit spaces.

SonarMàtica (SonarMatic) stands out from the programme, which, through the Mecànics (Mechanics) exhibition, approaches today´s "do it yourself" tendency, applied to audio creation. It is an unprecedented experience in the festival´s 15 years of life: for the first time, a network of production and exhibition centres of Barcelona - which will be able to be visited by bus during Sónar - will be part of the Mecànics project, contributing with its own contents to the exhibition.
