The Hostal Girona Barcelona is a small and pleasant two star hostel. It has 19 very comfortable bedrooms, well decorated and set with rustic furniture. It is located in the centre of the Eixample de Barcelona, area  designed by Idelfons Cerdá in 1860. This is a privileged location since Girona Street belongs to the Quadrat d’Or (Gold Square). This area, bounded at one side by Aribau St. And Passeig de Gràcia and by Av. Diagonal at the other one, consolidated as a burgeois centre simultaneously with the beginnings of the Barcelona Modernism. It is 300 meters away from Las Ramblas and Plaça Catalunya, where several undreground lines , bus lines and trains in the RENFE railway station are available. It is also a few minutes walk from some emblematic buildings of Barcelona, such as Gaudi’s architectonical masterpieces “La Pedrera” and “Casa Batlló”.
