About the accommodation
The Hostel Mare Nostrum Barcelona is an old building totally recycled inside. Here customers are pleasantly and friendly treated by the Staff. It is a two-star Hostel with 30 nicely decorated and well maintained rooms. It is conveniently located, at the corner of Sant Pau St. and Las Ramblas , by the Gran Teatro del Liceu in the cental district of Barcelona. It is at few meters from Plaza Sant Jaume and the Town Hall and near Plaza Real, well known for the restaurants and pubs. It is a perfect area for walking and go shopping. You may find a great variety of shops, including fashionable clothing , modern designs, souvenirs, artisan products and accessories. In the neighbourhood you may find local people together with tourists and immigrants from all over the world. While walking arround on these cental streets, you may listen to music performed by different groups that are willing to share their art with passers by. It is a beautiful and colourful place, ideal for discovering Barcelona, where you can feel all the city life, its people and beautiful streets. Easy access to Public transportation. By underground at Metro Liceu station - distant 150 meters from the Hostel- you can go to the beach and Port Vell, as well as the Maremagnum and the City Aquarium. The Hostal is also close to Plaça Catalunya, with the RENFE railway station, underground lines, buses and the Aerobus to and from the Airport.
