About the accommodation

The Pensión Ciudadela Barcelona is a one star, small and simple boarding house recommended in the guides Let’s go and Routard. The pension includes 9 large bedrooms, all of them with a balcony and TV. It is ideally located, very near the most touristic spots of Barcelona, giving you lots of advantages. It is next to the Parque de la Ciudadela ( dating from 1888) where the Museo de Arte Moderno and the Museo de Geología stand and in the Barrio de la Ribera (The shore quarter). You can travel on foot to Plaza del Rey (King’s square), Museo de Historia de la ciudad (Museum of the History of the City), the Cathedral, the church Santa María del Mar, the Zoo, the  Aquarium of Barcelona and to Port Vell. The Palacio Gúell, one of the most luxurious of the Ciudad Condal (Count City) -built by Antoni Gaudí-is also near. The Plaza Real, Plaça Catalunya and las Ramblas  are not far from the hotel. The pension is in front of the Francia Railway Station (FFGG and RENFE)  allowing you fast connections with the Airport and the metropolitan area.

Good position, just in front of “Francia Rail Station” where trains from the airport arrive. Basic rooms at good rates.
